Rafaela “Rafa” Brunetto was born in Porto Alegre (RS). She is a certified beer
sommelière by the Instituto da Cerveja Brasil and ABS - Brazilian Association of
Sommeliers. Her interest for the beer world started in the kitchen, where she
has worked for more than three years performing gastronomic events for the
social and corporate areas. Her first opportunity in the beer market was in a
beer distribution company, where she went through all areas of the business.
However, her experience in the kitchen was always a differential, that is why
she acted specially in the development of beer menus for restaurants and
gastrobars, selecting the mi of products and describing the labels, training sales
and service teams, managing guided tastings and dinners, organizing the
company’s internal and external events and creating content and managing
social medias.
Rafa is also known by one of her recent works when, in 2015, she became the
first Brazilian ambassador of Brooklyn Brewery. She was trained by brew
master Garrett Oliver himself in New York. She has travelled to several states in
Brazil, spreading knowledge about the brand through the creation and
conducting of events of the most varied formats. She currently works with
consulting for companies and entrepreneurs, especially in the conception and
creation of projects in the beer area, such as creation of beer menus and
training of sales and service teams, conduction of tasting and pairing events,
besides developing cultural and educational projects within the beer market.
