José Ivan

José started acting in the beer industry in 2010 as a coordinator specialist with
background in brewing, fermentation, filtration, water treatment, kegging,
projects, technical auditing and reduction of losses in the production process.
He is also a student in Master Brewer at London’s Institute of Brewing &
Distilling (IBD).
He has implemented projects of production of mineral water, beer kegging lines,
brewing sessions over 1200hl/batch, horizontal and vertical fermentation tanks,
candle filters, beer yeast recovery system by membranes.
Nowadays he acts on the implementation of improvements concerning beer
quality (freshness and aging reduction), technical trainings and standardization
of production processes.
At Science of Beer, he is responsible for the Beer Tasting Techniques,
Sensorial Analysis, Production Process of Beers and Raw Materials classes.
