Target public: Beer sommeliers, master brewers and professionals of the beer
market with previous knowledge in beer processes and beer styles.

styles and classification of beer styles;
Guide of styles - BA (Brewers Association);
Guide of styles - BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program);
Deeper studies on sensorial evaluation and management as well as flavor
training;
Vertical and horizontal sensorial training;
Description and technical criteria of styles;
Technical evaluation of beer styles.
German School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
Belgian School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
English School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
American School: Traditional styles, historical evolution, sub-styles and current
styles;
Simulation of beer competitions;
Manufacturing techniques approach;

Class Load:
3 weekends
Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 7pm - 54 hours of class
On the last Saturday of class, there will be a dinner with beer pairings (optional)

Course length: 6 consecutive days
Period: Morning and afternoon
Hours: 9am to 6:30pm

*In case of the student’s quitting, the enrollment fee will not be refunded, only
the amount referent to the total of the course minus the bank fees. The Science
of Beer Institute preserves its prerogative of canceling the course in case a
minimum number of students is not reached, without any onus for the enrolled.
In such case, the paid amount will be fully refunded.

Tastings: Approximately 60 different beers of 40 different styles
